Verdantis
Lore
Verdantis is a vast, living world often compared to Earth at its most untouched. Dense jungles, sweeping plains, and layered ecosystems stretch across the planet, each thriving in delicate balance. Its environments feel familiar yet elevated, offering a sense of home shaped by nature rather than conquest. Humanity's presence on Verdantis began long before Earth entered the galaxy. A small group of human scientists, displaced during early WARP experimentation, arrived on the planet with limited resources but modern knowledge. They were aided by the Emperioni of Braxx, who recognized Verdantis as an ideal world for humanity to grow and endure. Similar to Earth in structure and potential, Verdantis was meant to be a home away from home — a place where the human species could flourish under careful guidance. With Emperioni assistance, the early settlers learned to adapt to Verdantis rather than reshape it. Over generations, human society developed around preservation, balance, and coexistence. Cities were designed to blend into the environment, and progress was measured by sustainability rather than expansion. Verdantis became a world defined by stewardship, not dominance.
Beneath the planet's surface lies Coreanium, a substance of immense potential. To protect Verdantis' fragile equilibrium, its extraction was declared illegal. Subtle reminders of ecological disruption, including remnants of phenomena such as the Bloodbloom, reinforce the belief that balance, once disturbed, can be difficult to restore. Verdantis stands as a sanctuary shaped by intention. A living world where humanity learned to grow without consuming, and where harmony between species and planet remains the foundation of civilization.
